It can be a bit of a struggle for everyone, satisfying our sweet tooth in a way that won’t completely sabotage our diet. One recipe we discovered, is Avocado Barleycup spread.

This recipe is so easy to make and packed with health benefits. For starters, avocados are no stranger to the nutrition world. They contain more potassium than bananas, and they’re also full of monounsaturated fats, which benefit a healthy heart. Fibre and antioxidants, as well as over 20 vitamins fill these delicious green fruits, a true no brainer.

Ingredients:
2 ripe avocados, peeled and stoned
50g tablespoons cocoa powder*
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon Barleycup (6g)
Method:
1: Place all the ingredients into a large bowl and beat together until smooth.
2: Serve spread onto toast or crackers or serve as a dip with fresh cucumber and peppers.
