The people behind the brand:
Originally Maryanne Shearer and Jan O’Connor decided to make homeware brand together but changed their minds when there was already tough competition in that market. Instead they chose to make a tea brand as the saw a gap in the market for premium teas.
It all started in the 1990’s when they opened their first store in Melbourne. Now, in 2015 T2 is will soon be opening their 5th London store which will be located on Regent Street in the heart of Central London.
Ethos:
T2 is Australia’s principal tea retailer and has over 50 stores in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. Its aim, well that’s simple. They want to satisfy the tea-lovers of the world with their wide range of products and boy is it working! Every month the company sells enough tea to fill 9 million mugs…that is a lot of tea.
They offer captivating, beautifully packaged teas with some of their bestsellers being Liquorice Legs and Buddha’s Tears and because of their loyal customers and vibrant packaging they have no need to advertise their products, instead they rely on word of mouth.
T2 Tea encourages customers to step out of their comfort zone and try innovative flavours in order to gain a new experience, offering customers unique tea flavours such as Toasty Nougat, Pumping Pomegranate and Gone Surfing.
If you fancy exploring some of T2 Tea’s products their website provides all the necessary information you will need along with some tea recipes on there too.
