Rent The Runway debuts their celebratory capsule collection.
For all of our frugal fashionistas, we have pretty much the best news ever. To celebrate the website’s five year anniversary, Rent The Runway is launching it’s brand new 25-piece 5Y collection, designed by seven different designers. Monique Lhuillier, Marchesa Voyage, Kenneth Jay Lane, Badgley Mischka, Oscar De La Renta, Christian Siriano, and Lela Rose all contributed to create exquisite pieces exclusive to Rent The Runway. Pieces in the collection range from evening gowns, to jumpsuits, to accessories, including gorgeous blue and gold jewelry pieces courtesy of Oscar De La Renta, as well as a black and gold lace brocade gown, sparkly gold crop top, and black tulle skirt by Badgley Mischka. Lela Rose says of designing for the collection, “My collection incorporates intricate detailing, such as back pleating, twisted sleeves, and beautiful seaming, to really add that finishing touch that makes a gown that much more glamorous and special.” Rental prices start at just $15 for jewelry, while apparel starts at $65.
