I know I am a self-confessed lip balm junkie. Whenever a new one comes out it’s on my lips. I’ve now discovered a set of botanical lip care by Albus and Flora. They are omega rich lip balms with SPF 30. They come in clear and delightfully tinted shades. They go on super smooth. Lovely.
They are founded by Rachel Williams who has a super passion for natural skincare and a love of the outdoors and a knowledge of how to embrace it. The Albus and Flora journey started high in the mountains where the air is pure. Rare mountain plants have always known how to protect themselves. Their resilience has been Rachel’s inspiration but the botanical actives in the lip balms include Alpine rose extract from the Swiss Alps, seaberry avocado and black current oils to nourish and support skin barrier function. Beeswax jojoba and grape and sunflower oils to hydrate and condition. I have two lip balms – one called Naked Flora which is just that. It goes on smoothly and embraces your lips with goodness and clarity. It looks yellow but it has no colour and it comes in a pale grey lipstick pop up. Snowberry red has a soft pop of classic red colour. It comes in a solid coral pink lipstick case with an SPF 30. Simple but kind of luxurious, or at least your lips will think so. I love their feeling of resilience and purity. I love the way they glide on in a subtle but powerful way, not over-zealous or gloopy. They are in themselves beautiful things made from other beautiful things to help you feel that you have beautiful lips.
