I have recently become a big convert to Benefit. I love their curling mascara; I apply one coat and then I apply their They’re Real mascara as a top coat. It is thick, juicy and it stays put. I also love their brow volumizing fibre gel called Gimme Brow (£18.50). It comes in two shades – I have both – and it does not just paint on colour it adds actual fibres so it is Regaine for brows.
I have been going to their store to have my eyebrows waxed and dyed and generally pampered and every time I get a sample of something, I love it.
Their latest product, Air Patrol, is a cream eyelid primer and you can also use it under eyes as well. Really not sure why it is called Air Patrol and why it is shaped like an arrow …..but I love its multitasking cleverness.

It helps guard delicate eyelids against sun, smoke, pollution, winter, and like any primer it extends the wear of your eye shadow. It gives you long lasting colour that does not go flakey or smeary. But that is not all. It feels so calming and soothing and instantly hydrating. I love the way it is packaged with its winged tip.
I realized just how much I loved it when I was in the plane about to land from LA applying make up. I rarely apply make up in the air but I just did not want to look washed out and grey as I had to work straight off the plane and I felt really dehydrated. But I dropped my Air Patrol wand and started clambering around, disturbing everybody, wondering where it had rolled. I thought it was lost and I was forlorn.
But the super helpful Air New Zealand flight attendant located it several rows ahead of me and delivered it back. To lose it and find it again means it is now even more cherished than before.
I have since tried it for a nude look and while being super moist it gives coverage. Takes away any blotches. I like it under eye as well. And weirdly I like the smell of it, it smells like new clothes, it smells like you are unwrapping something special, and you are. (£21.50)
