It came into our radar that BOL were releasing a new range of protein-rich foodie pots. We had the opportunity to try out this new range and let’s be honest, we weren’t going to turn down a tasty treat.. We were pleasantly surprised at just how good these are!

You may have seen these little pots sitting on the shelves at your local supermarket, so here’s a little about them if you didn’t know already…
BOL is all about making practical, healthy dishes with variety – taking signature flavours from around the world that are freshly made and ready to eat wherever you have a microwave or an oven at hand.

BOL founder Paul Brown

BOL was founded by foodie and sports enthusiast Paul Brown. Pressed for time during the day for cooking, he discovered that sometimes practicality and finding something to knock-up quickly meant he found himself compromising on the taste, health, quality and even the price of food.

Paul sought out to solve this problem; and took inspiration from street stalls in his travels serving up fresh, tasty healthy foods and discovered a way to make these kind of foods accessible to anyone and anywhere, that they could get their hands on easily, and still gain the quality he strived for. And here is where BOL was born.

So with more people going for a more protein-rich and carb-light meal; BOL have their 3 new flavours. We thought they were really delicious and will definitely be having them again. I was very impressed with just how much was packed into one pot – in terms of variety of flavours and authentic ingredients – not to mention the portion was satisfyingly perfect even for a dinnertime meal as well as a hearty lunch.
