The long anticipated Bridget Jones’s Baby has finally hit the big screen and we thought it was ludicrously hilarious! The type of film where you find yourself repeatedly tapping the arm of your chair, tearing up and laughing out of control, all while trying not to slip out of your seat and roll on the floor.
‘All by myself’ – that’s how the latest Bridget Jones movie starts off, but in fact this could not be further from what actually happens…
It’s been 15 years and Bridget Jones (Renée Zellweger) has finally got rid of those big knickers. This time around Bridget is much more confident as she’s finally down to her ideal weight and is in the job she’s always wanted, but she’s still searching for Mr. Right! Her crazy friends that we all know and love have all now settled, all married with kids – but Bridget has made new friends at work who have her back.
Following yet another disappointing birthday, Bridget agrees to go on a “relaxing spa weekend” with work friend Miranda. Little does she know what she’s getting into, Bridget turns up to a crazy festival weekend. Completely unprepared and dressed in white and in a pair of heels, she tries to maneuver through the festival grounds but finds herself in a bit of a sticky situation. Her luck then turns as she’s rescued by a handsome stranger, Jack (Patrick Dempsey), who she ends up having “relations” with.
But just as Bridget thinks she’s got a handle on her life, a blast from the past – she also ends up having “relations” with Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) at her goddaughter’s christening. And in true Bridget Jones way, she has no idea who the father is when she discoverer’s she is pregnant.
We guess not much has changed as she finds herself in yet another love triangle but the question is who is the baby daddy?
