If you’re the sort of girl that revels in the clocks changing for spring, simply because there’s an extra light hour in the evening to run in, then you might be thinking of signing up for a little challenge this year. And if you’re not, where’s the harm in changing it up? There’s something so therapeutic about running, and when you add crossing a real-live finish line into the mix, you’ve got one serious euphoria boost.
Whether you’re a keen runner or a beginner, a 10K is doable. Here are some the best 10k and under runs to look into this year.

The Nike Women’s 10K hit its peak last year. Even we ran it! Held in Victoria Park at night, this women’s only race makes the guys seriously jealous. Pep yourself up with a warm-up routine lead by Nike’s best NTC trainers, run through stunning lighting effects in Victoria Park and finish up being hanged, not just a medal, but a specially crafted necklace by jewellery designer Alex Monroe. Grab your glass of bubbly, head to the live festival-style DJ set (which last year was manned by none other than Nick Grimshawe) and dance your aches and pains away! It takes place in London’s Victoria Park on the 21st June 2015. The sign up fee is £28.00, visit www.nike.com to register. We’re running it again this year so keep an eye out!

The Color Run 5K made it big in London last year, and it’s returning for 2015. Head to Wembley Park in a white t-shirt and prepare for some Holi-Festival style colour. 5K is the easiest run your going to come across, and it’s worth an entry for the Instagram opportunities alone. It’s on 7th June at 3pm and the registration fee is £30.99. Find out more at www.thecolorrun.co.uk.

British 10K London Run on the 12th July involves a beautiful road route past iconic London landmarks like Big Ben, Westminster Bridge, Pall Mall, with a big finish at Whitehall. The fee is £50.00, sign up at www.thebritish10klondon.co.uk.

The Women’s Running Magazine 10K Race Series London South race is a late one taking place on the 13th September at Brockwell Park. You’ll get a goody bag filled with kit and nutrition goodies, and yes there’s a T shirt and a medal waiting for you at the end. Visit www.womensrunninguk.co.uk for more information.
