Tapas fans will be pleased to hear Fitzrovia favourite, The Salt Yard are releasing their first cookbook. Sanja Morris, Ben Tish and Simon Mullins, the trio behind the central-London restaurants Salt Yard, Dehesa and Opera Tavern have self-published their first cookbook, Salt Yard: Food & Wine from Spain & Italy (£30) which contains signature recipes from the three restaurants, specialising in Spanish and Italian small plates, including Courgette flowers stuffed with goat’s cheese and drizzled with honey; Mini Ibérico pork burgers; and sweet treats such as Churros with hot chocolate sauce.
Sanja Morris says, “We are unbelievably excited about our first cookbook and have chosen to selfpublish as it has given us the freedom to produce a book we know our customers will love. The book is a real team effort, from Ben’s recipes to the book cover which is designed by Dehesa’s own barman, Pedro D’Almeida, and it’s the culmination of a roller-coaster journey through the publishing world and many kilos gained by testing all the delicious recipes!”
The book will be available from Dec 6th and for sale via the Salt Yard website, at the Salt Yard Group restaurants and at Heal’s, Foyles and Jeroboams.
