I have straight fine hair, so I am not normally the one talking about trying to tame my fizz or dealing with unruly curls.
However, after I went to Saphira’s event, I was excited to see what their repair products could do for my seemingly healthy hair. The brand’s products are all sulphate and paraben free, and they are enriched by 26 minerals from the Dead Sea to heal the hair and scalp.
The brand is named after the founder, Saphira Tessler-Greenberg. She and her husband, Aviad, created the brand by bravely investing all of their savings after they married in 2011. They hope to use the company to help women to recognise their own ‘minerals’ or beautiful qualities in themselves while also giving back.
I tried “The One” first. It is a combination of 10 products all wrapped into 1 formula. It repairs hair and leaves it with a beautiful shine. It had a wonderful smell that wasn’t too strong. The scent would blend with perfume, or it could honestly be used on its own if you don’t want anything too fragrant. I sprayed it into my wet hair and brushed it through. Once my hair had dried, I was pleased to find that my typical flyaways had calmed down and my hair had never felt so soft. Even my hands felt softer after using them to rub the spray in. By the end of the day, my hair seemed a bit oilier than it would have been normally, but I have never found a product that didn’t make me feel that way. If you have thick hair, luscious hair or any texture, I’d imagine it would be the perfect addition to your hair care routine.
The next night, I used the mineral mud. I washed my hair like normal, rubbed the mud into my hair, and let it sit for the recommended 5 minutes. As I washed it out, I could already feel the difference in my wet hair. Once it dried, I immediately noticed the ease I had brushing through my typical tangles. Even after my morning trip to work, my hair felt smoother as I ran my fingers through it. It hadn’t tangled into knots as it often would. Though I have to say, this one is a little too heavy for my hair to use every day, but I will definitely be enjoying it once a week for a little healthy boost to my hair. If you are looking for a moisturising and healing mud mask, look no further.
