From this week until the 9th September, Selfridges will be heading up a denim takeover. With giveaways, Twitter takeovers and styling advice from some of our favourite and most lust-after denim brands, to denim trends talks, exclusive product launches, designer appearances and expert fittings, the store will be celebrating what is the ‘cornerstone’ of its contemporary womenswear offerings.
“From our high street brands to leading designer labels, denim is the cornerstone of our contemporary womenswear offer and where we’re seeing the biggest growth,” says Gary Edgley, buying manager, Selfridges. “Destination Denim is our chance to bring that to life for our customers. We’re really excited to showcase such a dynamic edit of exclusive products and exciting events,” he adds.
The upcoming week looks as follows;
Friday 24th August – Meet the 7 For All Mankind experts and discover this season’s hottest new trends, the perfect fit and take a peek at the exclusive new Liquid Metallics collection. For the men, denim artist Dr Noki will be on hand offering unique denim customisations.
Saturday 25th August – Celebrate Hudson’s 10th anniversary with the exclusive Leeloo jean and cabaret dancer Amelie Poulian who will be teaching dance moves. Send your man to strike a pose in the Paul Smith photo booth using quintessentially British props, oh and the best pose will win £500 to spend on AW12 Paul Smith Jeans Collection.
Thursday 30th August – Citizens of Humanity VP will be over from LA to offer insider style advice and her top denim tips. The Denham experts will also be in store showing you how best to distress your denim using sanding blocks.
