Today Selfridges London reopens its legendary rooftop to launch The Big Rooftop Tea and Golf Party as part of the Big British Bang series – an ongoing homage to all things British.
Running throughout the summer, the Selfridges’ rooftop will play host to a (wonderfully) crazy golf course, as designed by renowned food experience architects Bompas & Parr. The installation, which follows last year’s Voyage of Discover – where the entire roof was flooded to create an emerald green boating lake and floating bar – features a 9-hole, cake-based course. If you think you can hold focus on the game in hand, rather than how tasty the jelly, icing and fondant-clad miniature London landmark obstacles might be, then book yourself a time slot and head on up.
After a delectable round of golf, head to the Daylesford Cafe where a 100% organic, traditional British afternoon tea, with a twist, will be served, along with summer evening drinks and dinner – all six stories above Oxford Street. Selfridges’ is the onlyroof to be seen on this summer.
The Big Rooftop Crazy Golf Course will be open for ages six and above, with under sixteens to be accompanied by an adult.
All entry is timed and open daily between 31st May and 2nd September between 12 and 7.30 pm.
