Yesterday we paid Smashbox a visit to their swanky new London freestanding floor in Fitzroy Place, to take a look at some products, get the low-down on some amazing upcoming launches… and try them all out of course!
Thankfully, we can share all of the exciting news with you on what’s coming out in the (very) near future. Get these dates firmly in your calendar…
Photo Finish Primer Oil
First up, is the newly-launched Photo Finish Primer Oil (£28). This was described to us as “imagine your favourite essential oil and primer had a baby..” and here we have it. Skincare and primer fused together. This is a really lightweight oil that leaves just enough radiance and moisture in the skin to give a hydrated and youthful look to your makeup. It doesn’t feel like your average oil, it sinks into the skin super fast and can be used under, mixed in or on top of makeup. Very versatile and gives a gorgeous dewy finish when you have applied your make up.
All you need is one or two drops applied to the skin for a fresh face and natural glow. Available to buy now.
Lashes Without Limits
If you are a mascara fan, you’ve probably heard about these. The new mascara collection (yes collection) is named Lashes Without Limits – that’s what we like to hear. Featuring a new lash primer along with three mascaras to give endless possibilities to your lashes. Whether you like them big, long, voluminous, glossy or all of the above you can be assured Smashbox have covered it all.
X-Rated is the voluminous and buildable mascara without clumping, smudging or flaking. (£19.50)
Indecent Exposure is the one for lengthening, giving separation for long, lavish lashes. (£19.50)
Full Exposure gives a full, glossy effect with a super deep black formula. (£19.50)
Photo Finish Lash Primer gets your lashes ready for the application of mascara, adding a little volume and length whilst the product conditions and looks after those lashes. (£17)

Lip Primer & Mattifier
Covering all aspects of the perfect lip application every time; Smashbox are launching two quirky pre-and-post lip products..
The first is the Always Sharp Clear Lip Liner (£15.50) and it might sound odd, or ‘whats the point?’ but – it actually just helps with avoiding bleeding lipsticks. It acts as a barrier round your lip line for non-faded lipstick to keep super sharp edges for longer. It’s a perfect option if you don’t have the identically matching liner to your favourite lipstick, but love to have definition.
The Insta-Matte Lipstick Transformer (£18) is your post lipstick product, which basically transforms all of your lipsticks into a matte effect. Yep. Your lipstick collection suddenly just doubled up, and even changing the texture is a possibility.

Be Legendary
While we’re still on the lip subject, there’s a whole new lipstick collection coming! The Be Legendary Lipsticks (£16 each) come in a huge range of colours, including both their matte and cream formulas.. with around 26 colours.
Along with a selection of pink, red and nude shades there’s some unique ones thrown in there too, I spotted a deep grey colour which I had my eye on…

Brow Tech
Good brows are the framework for any look, and the Brow Tech Shaping Powder (£16.50) may be just the thing to help you with just that. With a super fine applicator, it coats on the long-wearing formula with definition, but giving it a natural appearance from the powdery effect for hair-like texture.
