Fresh, sophisticated, floral & herby. This isn’t your average summer floral fragrance – this is a deeper, exotic summer scent.
Dolce & Gabbana’s Velvet Pure fragrance has just hit the shelves this July, a new crisp and floral addition to the brand’s Velvet fragrance series. Earlier this month we went crazy over the sexy and smooth Velvet Patchouli, so now we’re starting to crave the whole collection for our vanity tables.
Velvet Pure promises a crisp, light summery fragrance, and it really is. It is inspired by the Mediterranean flower of Reseda, and this herbaceous plant adds a sophistication and luxury quality to the floral. Combining it with complementing floral notes including Jasmine and Cistus Labdanum, Fig Leaf accord and Jasmine are added with raw yet sweet Narcissus, and Jonquil absolutes. A deeper, earthier and richer element is added to the green floral tones with North African Neroli and Geranium. Haitian Vetiver and Orris Butter smooth the edges, for a wonderfully complex scent.
For us, this fragrance oozes summer nights, think venturing out underneath a bright moonlit sky, twinkling warm fairy lights with a fresh sea breeze. The perfect holiday accompaniment. This fragrance stays on, it lingers and sinks into your skin, which is so enjoyable for a sultry, yet fresh summery perfume.
