I’ve been noticing Urban Decay are having a resurgence. I used to think they were a bit gothic and teenage but then their naked colour palettes changed all that. So wearable and such great colours and I’ve seen them in the kits of so many make up artists and in the homes of fashionistas and glitterati.
I tried their Eyeshadow Primer Potion this week. There are several types of it but I went for the anti ageing one for $24 (£18). This means eye make up will stay on 24 hours or even 48 if you don’t mind sleeping in it. This stuff is amazing. I went to Oscar parties and my eye make up stayed on all night and was exactly the same as when first applied.
I’ve tried primers before which definitely extend the life of the eye but this one is incredible. I used exactly the same eye shadows on top – one Bobbi Brown, one Laura Mercier and with this primer they are fixed perfectly in place, no smudging or smearing.
I’m an eye rubber and I noticed today, sans primer my hands are covered in navy glitter. That will teach me.
