More brand new shiny products from Yves Saint Laurent Beauty and this time it’s their gorgeous Spring Collection: Boho Stones. Think spring, floral bright tones with a sun-blush hue, think mermaid opale textures (you’ll see why in a second) – we love it. Here’s a little peek at what the YSL collection has to offer, and what we liked best…
The collection starts with two opale palettes:

The first, a face palette (Face Palette Collector Gypsy Opale, £42.50) to give you a fresh-faced look with four colours specifically targeted for colour correcting as well as making you look iridescent. See those green, yellow and lilac tones? Not to worry, green isn’t the nest contour colour of the season, these are all going to help with the correcting of any redness / dullness in your skin’s undertones to then pop your skin with rosy radiance.
The eye palette (Contoure Palette Collector Indie Jaspe, £42.50) features a similar colour range (I’m seeing a pattern here) of greens and rosy nudes for the eyes – a perfect modern palette for spring. To me it shouts a cool, bohemian gypsy woman with salt sprayed hair. This is why I love the spring…
Okay let’s talk about that packaging now – how amazing is it? The organic colours and opal effect is just stunning. Completely reminds me of springtime blooms and the new wildlife cycle emerging.

Next up; is the mascara (YSL Beaute Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils, £25) in two daring colours, pink and green. I think sometimes brightly coloured mascara isn’t a popular choice – perhaps they might appear challenging to wear? But for spring we think they should be embraced. A little colour on your lashes can totally transform your look and inject a bit of life into your look if you aren’t wearing any shadows. The colour is strong so you won’t be disappointed, just a flick and you’ll have vivid, feathery and stand-out eyes. Go on, show off a little.

When I caught a glimpse of these beauties I fell a little bit in love. Pink with a green pearl and green with a pink pearl, here are the two new nail polishes for a jewel-effect. These (YSL Beaute La Laque Couture The Opalescents, £19) are to me, how you get yourself some mermaid nails. They’re pretty but edgy, opt for a couple of coats for more coloured pearl or opt for one coat for a natural accent. Perfect.
