I have completed my 7 days challenge using the St Ives Apricot Facial Scrub, and can happily report my results. Exfoliating is something I try to do regularly anyway, but having a week to trial a new scrub to see if my skin improved in appearance in such a short time made sure I really stuck to it.
The benefits of using a skin scrub to remove dead surface cells can be seen after the first time you use it, so I didn’t have to wait ages to see the difference in my complexion.
So this was the claim, “Made with 100% natural exfoliants and extracts, St. Ives Apricot Scrubs work to gently exfoliate and cleanse, revealing smooth, healthy looking skin which glows. With a unique recipe, your skin will look radiant without the threat of unnecessary chemicals.”
Did it work?
I like to use my scrub neat, straight on to my skin with no water, I find this gives more of a microdermabrasion effect and gets the blood flowing for a real circulation boost. I add a bit of water as it gets harder to rub, but make sure I am doing this for a minute or so, concentrating around the nose and areas that get more congested and blocked. The St Ives Apricot Scrub is really creamy with just the right ratio of scrub to cream, you can definitely feel it working and the beads are fine enough not to scratch or damage even sensitive skin. I loved the apricot smell and enjoyed using it, I will keep this scrub out and include now in my Sunday night facial-at-home ritual.
My skin looked more radiant, felt smoother and much less tired and grey. I can certainly recommend giving this a go if your skin needs a bit of reviving. This is especially good if you use fake tan all the time, to make sure you have a smooth and even skin tone in between applying your next suntan.
The price is really reasonable and there’s lots in the tube to use all over body and face, so will last you a while too.
