Jennifer Lopez has been quite busy lately. Having been out of the spotlight (at least for her) for a while whilst being a full-time mummy and wife, she has returned in full force, perhaps even stronger than before.
As the new face of Venus razors, a slew of new adverts starring Jen singing the trademark Venus jingle have been all over our screens since the start of Spring. Jen even made the no-doubt lucrative deal, into a family affair, with one advert featuring her four-year old twins Max and Emme. This summer she will be touring with Enrique Iglesias and Puerto Rican reggaeton duo Wisin y Yandel.
No stranger to reality television she is now in her second season of being the solo sympathetic female judge on American Idol. She produced and judged Spanglish-language reality talent show competition ¡Q’Viva! alongside ex-hubbie Marc Anthony on the Latino network Univision. ¡Q’Viva! focused on Latin American talent including singers, musicians, dancers and acrobats. Jennifer, Marc and Jamie King traveled all over Latin America to look for raw undiscovered talent to showcase on the show.
Foraying into fashion once again Lopez designed a women’s clothing line in a joint venture with ex Marc who designed the accompanying menswear line for US department store Kohl’s. But with her third divorce pending and a new, younger boyfriend on her arm, Jennifer Lopez’s comeback is in full effect.
Who knows where the mother, girlfriend, actress, singer, designer and reality tv judge, finds the time?!
But a large part of this comeback brings Jennifer to her acting niche once again; romantic comedies. What To Expect When You’re Expecting is based on the classic motherhood bible of the same name which was originally published in 1984. In the film, Jennifer plays Holly, a photographer who is prepared to travel the world to adopt a child. Her husband Alex is a little weary about the global trip and ensuing fatherhood and joins a dad crew to calm his fears. This “dude” support group is like a daddy fight club where dads and soon-to-be dads get together to talk candidly about fatherhood, with no judgement, no wives, just honesty.
Catch Jennifer Lopez in What To Expect When You’re Expecting in cinemas 24 May.
