Tennis star Maria Sharapova has launched her own range of sweets called Sugapova.
Sharapova launched her own premium candy line, Sugarpova at luxe department store Henri Bendel in New York on Aug. 20, just days before she’s set to play at the US Open. We wonder if her coach has let her eat any yet before she hits the court.
Among the assortment of sweets, the “flirty” candy features fruit-flavored gummy lips, the “sporty” mixture showcases lemon-lime tennis ball-shaped gumballs and the “chic” variety includes gummy shoes, handbags and sunglasses.
“Creating Sugarpova has been an exciting labor of love,” Sharapova said in a statement. “My tennis and business schedules keep me traveling worldwide, and I confess to having a sweet tooth that knows what it wants!”
The candy collection will be available for purchase online at HenriBendel.com, ITSUGAR.com and Sugarpova.com and will be stocked in minibars of some of the world’s top luxury resorts and hotels. A portion of the sales from Sugarpova will be donated to her charity, the Maria Sharapova Foundation, which helps students in areas affected by the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster
