There’s a reason the Heidi Braid has been a constant beauty hit over the past few years, and why season to season it makes its way back onto both the catwalk and red carpet. Firstly, as a style, it ‘s strangely versatile; wear it soft and loose with a pretty dress or strong and structural with bold accents or androgynous pieces. Secondly, it works perfectly on slightly dirty – day old hair. Last, and possibly most importantly, as a style the Heidi Braid looks complicated and time consuming, when in actual fact it is not only super easy to recreate, but also requires little other than a couple of fine hair ties, we’d recommend Blax Mini Braid Elastics, and a handful of kirby grips.
In the latest video in the Summer Hair Trends series, international hair stylist Errol Douglas MBE, shows you how to re-create the Heidi Braid.
