Last month, The British Museum stocked their shelves with an Egyptian-inspired makeup collection, in support of their exhibition Sunken Cities: Egypt’s Lost Worlds.
If you’re immediately thinking liner, liner, liner then you are correct. What would be an egyptian makeup collection without a bit of Cleopatra eyeliner? The makeup range, aptly named The Eye Of Horus includes illuminating liquid and pencil liners, with crease-proof shadows, and of course a mascara to finish off your look.
As well as taking makeup tips from centuries back; The Eye of Horus also base their products on sacred formulas used by the Ancient Egyptians, the originators of beauty and mystique. They use ingredients including Organic Moringa Oil, known as the “Oil of the Pharaohs” for its beautifying and regenerating powers, as well as the ancient oil of Castor Oil.
Due to the enormous success, the British Museum shops are announcing 4 new stunning liquid metal eyeliners to add to the collection. They come in Gold, Copper, Pewter and Bronze.
We’re loving the metallic makeup for the season; with the recent demand for pearlescent lipsticks (check out my metal lipstick haul video here) kicking off the festival months in full swing – now you can get gorgeously illuminating eyes too. The range of vivid colours and products are all cruelty-free and vegan friendly.
