This week Sky Living plays host to the next big thing in reality television, namely The Face. The show bears some resemblance to its BINTM (Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model for those of you not in the model-tv-know) counterpart, but there are little twists here and there that look set to make The Face even more of a guilty pleasure.
First of all the judges are comprised purely of world renowned models. Spear-heading the new show is Naomi Campbell and she is flanked by the ethereal Erin O’Connor and blonde beauty Caroline Winberg. With years of experience in the industry between them, they bring a degree of grandeur to proceedings.
Much like The Voice, The Face sees the judges compete in some cases for girls to join their teams, which leads to some glorious boasting and bragging from the super model judges. Each pick a team of four model hopefuls to take under their wing and coach for an eight week period. Over the stretch of the series, each contestant will compete against one another in real-life modelling challenges such as shooting campaigns and hitting the runway.
The Face begins on Monday 30th September, 9pm, Sky Living.
