The Fore is a studio located in the heart of Kings Cross on Handyside Street. Started and driven by a desire to “ make fitness universally accessible,” the studio combines all aspects of wellness (social, intellectual, emotional and physical) under one roof. We went to try out a class and look around this great new fitness space.

Intentional Design: The Fore is a new space so it is freshly renovated. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with lots of friendly faces, inspirational quotes in neon on the wall, green plants and comfy couches. A relaxing area that you can hang out in even without a class or appointment. “We built the space so that people could just come here, get work done and have a good time” says Hannah founder of The Fore. “We have drinks, areas to relax and the wifi is super fast.” she adds.
More than just your average gym: The Fore is not just your average gym membership, there are many ways to restore as well as get active. The Fore is pioneering a new way of wellness and fitness in one space. They have fitness classes catering for all levels of fitness, there is no pressure, you just book in for a class you are most comfortable with. Help is on hand, having personal trainers available to make sure you get your form right, encourage you and most importantly avoid injury. I myself went to a training class and I was helped and encouraged every step of the way, it turned a workout into less of a chore and more of a blood-pumping way to have fun.
Community Outreach: The Fore really focuses on community outreach and making things affordable and accessible to the community. On their website, they launched a schedule of events happening that feature local business and talent that the community can sign up for and participate in. It’s great to see so man events you can attend in the area.
After getting to catch up with Hannah, she told me the two major things she wants people to know when they come here. “You can absolutely be yourself here with no judgment. At The Fore, we want you to be able to workout, get the help and support you need and most importantly, come as your authentic you.” the second is very simple “Don’t fight it.” she says. “Your workout journey is meant to be fun! We want to see you burn off some of your energy, anger, excitement and just have a good time.” Physical classes, as well as wellness treatments are inexpensive, so it is perfect for anybody who wants a more personalized fitness/wellness experience. Go down to The Fore now, and give a new health journey a try.
