Spring means florals, festivals, pastels and a whole load of denim. We’re celebrating its return to our every day wardrobes with a look some iconic denim wearers from years-gone-by, and the styles that will give you the same look today. Who could forget the ruckus caused by Brooke Shields’ first ad for Calvin Klein jeans, or the boyfriend jean trend that was firmly kicked off by Kate Moss lounging topless on Mark Wahlberg’s knee. Debbie Harry made anything she wore a trend, her waist-high stonewashed jeans being no exception. The 70s were the decade of the flares, as is so beautifully portrayed by a Nike-shod Farrah Fawcett riding a skate board. And today? Think all of the above, plus the ripped and distressed look that Georgia May Jagger pouted to perfection in her first Hudson jeans ad.
