It’s been several months since I had a facial. Not something I recommend but it’s something that got pushed to the back of the to do list. I’ve been flying around the planet and that’s the very reason I should have been fitting in facials but it’s been a vicious cycle. I’ve been too tired and too jetlagged. My skin flakes off in the air and gets a grey quality which it’s hard to fully get rid of.
The Murad products have been miracle workers and Murad Method Facial with Natasha at House of Fraser is a transformative experience. Natasha is experienced and clever and knows her way round a face. The Murad products are super effective and deeply personal. You need to work out your own personal cocktail which Natasha will prescribe.
The packaging of Murad is simple and no fuss. The expertise has gone into the product and the price is always incredible value. Natasha worked on my skin like it was a tapestry she really wanted to unpick and restore. Most people love the effects of the Murad peel. It’s brightening, replenishing and refreshing. Because I’ve not had a facial in such a long time, for me it was extremely itchy so she left it on for only a minute. Even within that short time I could see the difference. Most people see the difference and think next time I’m going to leave it on for even longer. And thats what I am thinking – that super glow is worth fighting for!
The music Natasha was playing was of sounds of the sea – whales talking to each other – but not sure if they were saying nice things! It was the combination of the whales and the itchiness that meant I couldn’t tolerate the peel. Looking back, I wished I’d lasted longer. But even 30 seconds peels back years and dryness. I looked rested.
We returned to the sound of waves as Natasha’s fingers worked as if waves across my face. She recommended the Intensive Age Diffusing Serum. It instantly tightens skin and increases firmness. For me she wanted it to combat dehydration. It’s an award winning serum and after a week of it I’ve noticed an uplifting effect and more resilient, less puffy skin. She also recommended the Age Balancing Moisturiser with SPF 30 because she thinks I haven’t been using a good enough SPF.
Again it’s about hydrating the skin. I’m also loving the Renewing Cleansing Oil. It feels so soft and gentle on the skin, yet it’s a powerful cleanser. The orange range from Murad is the Vitamin C Range which is good for sun damage and dark spots. I like the way Dr Murad has designed specific products for specific ages and skin types. I have to be careful not to become obsessed with the powers of Murad. My new serum is uplifting and has already enhanced my life. The claim on the box is that 81% experienced improvement in wrinkles after two weeks but the more exciting claim is that it visibly increases firmness after one application. Instant power in a bottle. Who wouldn’t be addicted to that?
