I’ve long been a fan of Time Bomb skincare. I’m addicted to the Time Bomb Complexion Cocktail With A Shot Of B12 (£24.00). It makes tired skin look instantly alive, perfect if you’ve had a sleepless night or a long haul flight, which I seem to have a lot of. It takes away the droopiness and the greyness.
I was very excited to receive new Time Bomb product the Powerball (£36.00), an intensive moisturiser. It is so super hydrating and helps your skin retain the moisture it gives. It looks set to help me look less tired and my dependency on the cocktail may well end up being on a special needs basis only.
This is not just any ordinary moisturiser. It is packaged in a new-agey white ball and inside is the super whipped, super silky cream, a powerhouse blend of 21 natural hydrating agents that promise to refill and revive skin.
The cream when applied sinks in instantly. It has a wonderful plumping effect, and the magic of it is that the plumping lasts. The wonderful chemists at Time Bomb who have cured frizzy hair, lank hair, made flat hair bounce, have given skin holidays in a bottle, have now found a way to lock the moisture into skin and keep it there.
In the past there wasn’t any of this technology about. You could slap a super rich cream or balm on your skin and your face, it would feel great for a time but skin would simply not be able to retain the benefits.
The Powerball describes itself as a watershed moment in the evolution of skin moisturisation. The Powerball harnesses the hydrating effect of Ectoin, a miracle-working microscopic protein found in the desert. If you can make greens grow in the desert you can make skin soft and plumped out.
I have had my Powerball only a few days but the effects are striking.
