The Organic Pharmacy Carrot Butter Cleanser comes in a slim pot containing golden balm. It is definitely the most unique of cleansers I have used before; as it is a firm, oily balm, which comes with a little spatula to help hygienically and successfully scoop it out.
Once warmed up a little and massaged into the skin, it smells of fresh and calming herb-like ingredients, not of carrots though as the name might suggest; but still just as lovely. It melts on contact with your skin and dissolves and lifts off makeup effortlessly. I would suggest this as a second cleanser, so all of the majority of your makeup is off first – as I want this directly on my skin to get its full benefit!
This is gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin, and as you read the ingredient list on the box, it is all recogniseable and natural ingredients.
While we’re on the subject; the key ingredients are Sunflower Oil, Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter, Beeswax, Sesame Seed Oil, Cocoa Butter, Marigold and of course, Carrot. It has a long list with even Calendula, Rosemary and Lavender in there too, which is certainly what contributes to that gorgeous fresh scent.
You need a hot cloth, your favourite flannel or muslin cloth to remove, as this doesn’t dissolve with water like some oil cleansers. But once it is wiped off with some warm water, your skin feels so soft, nourished and radiant. The massaging helps keep your skin plumped, it’s like getting a facial… daily.
The Organic Pharmacy Carrot Butter Cleanser is suitable for all skin types, even oily skin as it balances the oil production, and even better for sensitive skin, for its pureness – it is 99.9% organic, and 100% natural after all!
This retails at £39.95, or purchase from QVC with Muslin Cloth for £33.
