As a freelance writer, the age-old dilemma has always been how to dash from press day to appointment to coffee shop to desk space whilst looking appropriately dressed and lugging around the all-important Macbook.
Despite downsizing to the Air (no matter how much I’m tempted by the iPad, typing full features with just one-hand doesn’t feel right – and don’t even get me started on buying the accompanying keyboard!), there are few bags on the market that seamlessly combine practicality with fashion-worthiness.
In the spirit of searching, this week we have been testing out one of the new laptop bags from the Jill-e Designs range. With bags designed exclusively for iPad, Macbook Pro and Macbook Air, we were sold (can you tell we’re a team of Apple lovers!)
The premium, padded bags come in 11”, 13” and 15” sizes with each providing tried, tested and reliable protection against bumps and bangs. There are tons of separate easy-organise pockets and spaces (one of which has become my official easy-access lip pouch – lipstick, balm and mirror not included).
We have been toting around the black leather Olivia, which fits a 13″ Macbook, switching between a slung over the shoulder look and the two-shouldered geek-gorgeous backpack. We love the edgy leather panelling and tough-luxe gold hardwear and the Register & Recovery Service is a handy option for those more forgetful moments.
