With the Six Nations kicking off this week (sporting pun ahoy!) , we’re all set to submit to rugby fever. Although girls, before you get too enthusiastic, they’ve slammed an England vs Italy match down slap bang in the middle of Valentines Day. We advise reaching for the wine and joining in the fun, it’s likely to be worth the watch.
England’s first Six Nations fixture sees them pitted against the Welsh boys this Friday, who have been looking rather dapper of late. We’re sure the boys are no stranger to picking out a suit, but the team’s collaboration with TM Lewin came with its benefits. Whilst we’re just as appreciative watching them cover the pitch in muddied shorts and tight tops, a well-tailored suit does no guy any harm.
Sam Warburton, Rhys Webb and George North met at the squad’s training ground in Cardiff to pose behind the camera in their Eddington suits. Most of the team apparently opted for the slim fit version, and rather unsurprisingly none of them could fit into the skinny one. Rugby muscles don’t fit skinny anything. Thankfully.
The three players got dirtied up for the shoot, bruises were blended in, stitches mocked up. Now that’s the kind of makeup the boys can deal with. We met Ben Youngs for a mid-photo-shoot interview last year, wearing a too-small vest and a smooth layer of foundation and body paint. He was not a happy player. These guys got off lightly.
Check out their behind-the-scenes games in the videos below.
Ps: loving the stubble, but we’re reserving judgment on the George North tache.
George North and Rhys Webb get competitive in a tie race. As you do. Is this a normal guy thing?
