Internationally renowned jeweler Tiffany & Co. will mark their grand opening of its new store at Selfridges with an installation called “Fifth & 57th” – named after the corner where Tiffany’s iconic New York flagship store is located. Known around the world as the crossroads of style and luxury, this installation explores this famous street corner, where Tiffany was founded in 1837.
“As part of the celebration surrounding the opening of our new location at Selfridges we wanted to give our customers a true New York experience, with Tiffany at the center of the city’s glamour and sophistication,” said Barratt West, vice president and managing director of Tiffany & Co. UK and Ireland.

The installation is open from 3rd – 12th July at the Old Selfridges Hotel. Created from thousands of boxes inspired by Tiffany’s iconic gift box – this famous intersection is recreated, using digital projections and sounds to land you straight into Manhattans bustling street life; with a complimentary New York style pretzel and coffee to really get you into the scene. The exhibition is free, and an added bonus for the after-work visitors is the speakeasy style bar named after Tiffany founder Charles Lewis Tiffany, serving cocktails inspired by the Big Apple – open till 9pm.
Digital projections will bring to life the sights and sounds of Manhattan while a perpetually setting sun at the end of 57th Street will recreate ‘Manhattanhenge’ a phenomenon that occurs in NYC every summer. Visitors to the free exhibition will be given a complimentary New York style pretzel and coffee. A speakeasy bar named ‘Charlie’s’ after Tiffany founder Charles Lewis Tiffany will be open until 9pm for post work cocktails.
You’ll get to discover and experience the yearly phenomenon ‘Manhattenhenge’, and a digital fireworks display will transform the exhibition for America’s Independence Day, making it the perfect place to enjoy a taste of 4th of July right in the heart of London.
Guests can peer into the past and view the iconic Tiffany window displays by the legendary Gene Moore, who designed Tiffany’s windows from 1955 through 1994. Inside the store, an official Tiffany engraver offers complimentary engraving for Tiffany pieces purchased at Selfridges during the run of the installation.
