A lot of the time, I’m personally underwhelmed by Topshop at LFW. A lot of the collection is reminiscent of what’s already on their shop floor, with the exception of a few pieces. This year however, it was a different story.

Kate Phelan, Topshop’s designer said the show is a pre-Instagram age in the 1990’s: “The fun behind closed doors and neon lights. You had to be there.”

You really get that, it’s a fun collection with little black and a whole lot of energy. I am a perpetual black garment wearer, so seeing a bold collection like this gives me hope and inspiration to break out of my habit and introduce a bit more colour to my wardrobe.

We also saw models Hailey Baldwin & Jourdan Dunn walk the show for Topshop. Hailey was spotted in a white party dress with blue heeled boots and a pink coat. Her accessories were bold – a chunky necklace and earrings.

Jourdan Dunn had on similar boot heels but she was in a sheer flowy dress, with no accessories. The dress was a statement on its own and needed nothing else, it was perfection.
