Marc Abrahams’ biographical film I Saw The Light tells the story of iconic country-western singer-songwriter Hank Williams (Tom Hiddleston), who revolutionised music with his charisma, haunting voice and original song writing.

Although he had a brief life, Williams created one of the greatest bodies of work in American music; penning hits including Your Cheatin’ Heart, Hey, Good Lookin, and I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry.
Emerging from the local Alabama music scene after World War II, Williams’s music was fuelled by a turbulent relationship with wife Audrey (Elizabeth Olsen), and his long-term alcoholism and drug addiction. Despite all these demons, Williams used his own personal struggles as the basis of his musical inspiration, and changed the face of country music. Williams remained immensely popular until his premature death at the age of just 29 years old, and this film chronicles his rise to fame and its tragic effect on his health and personal life…
