Tramshed, the epic new Hix restaurant, has opened in the famous grade-2 listed tramshed building on Garden Walk and Rivington Street in Shoreditch.

It is simply amazing. A space so vast that you’ll find a specially-commissioned formaldehyde-preserved piece by Damien Hirst, entitled ‘Cock and Bull’ mounted above the drinks station, just 4 metres above diners. Also by Hirst, a wicked painted depiction of the 90’s Cow and Chicken cartoon blasts its way out from the wall of the mezzanine balcony. Both perfectly complimenting the menu, which is short and sweet and takes its lead from the artwork by offering either beef or poultry. Choose from three sharing starters and follow with a whole Woolley Park Farm free-range chicken or Mighty-marbled sirloin steak by the 250g – all delicious.

Tramshed also has a takeaway, offering chicken with chips, salads, sirloin sandwiches and Caravan coffee from 11am daily and each month Mark will host his ever-popular cookery demonstrations for up to 12 people.
