Global Lust By Chrissy Iley
It’s been a couple of months now since my obsession with Dolce & Gabbana’s intense nail colour in True White from their smoky bohemian kohl collection began. It has been an impressive move for me. All my life I’ve been drawn to darkly, gothic nail colours where more is more, yet nothing could have prepared me for the effect of my true white nails. Strangers stop me in the street to ask me; what is that nail colour?
True White is like having your nails dipped in milk. It manages, impressively, to achieve a twin goal of looking fresh while also looking rock and roll. I wasn’t sure this was possible until I tried it.
White nails are equally at home as gun metal black in a vampire movie. They look sparkling in sunshine, luminous in a cocktail bar. The colour is rich and creamy and, by the second coat, super shiny with staying power. It lasts a week.
White sets off almost any skin tone and blends with any outfit, tailored or slouchy, vintage or modern. It works on hot days and cold days. It’s a true classic.
White truly is the new black.
