In a return to the life aquatic that we saw last spring summer at Mary Katrantzou and Chanel, amongst others, Mulberry has re-emerged from winter with a gorgeous under-the-sea campaign for spring summer 2013.

Shot in signature surreal style by photographer Tim Walker and art directed by Ronnie Cooke Newhouse, Canadian model poses as an ethereal and other-worldly mermaid. Set against an iridescent, pastelised dreamscape by Shona Heath, inspired by ‘the kaleidoscope of blossom and sorbet pastels’ that were used in the SS13 collection, Meghan wears a collection littered with barely-there pastel shades, tailored pieces and, of course, Mulberry’s scene-stealing bags.

Tim Walker explained, “This season I wanted to focus on the girl as part of the landscape, rather than a character within it. Thus the pictures of Meghan become more like portraits. She was the perfect choice, strong, confident, able to hold your gaze, but almost otherworldly, she inhabits a dreamscape.”

And that’s exactly what Mulberry have created for spring summer, a dreamy fashion-scape.
