It’s that time of year again. The lead up to the Victoria’s Secret Show 2013 is almost over, just over 24 hours time, this years’ chosen ones will be strutting down the catwalk to the tune of the latest music acts, which this year include Taylor Swift and Fallout Boy.
Needless to say it’s not your average fashion show. There is no front row of assessing professionals and celebrities, sizing up silhouettes and textures for their seasonal trend report. It’s all about the spectacle. The headlines that run the next day don’t concern themselves with the lingerie designs, but marvel at the thoroughbred perfection of the models, the hairstyles, the set, the music, the makeup, and the costumes.
The show is a carnival of beauty, crystals and glossy limbs, and we love it. Twitter has been alive this week with tantalising titbits offered up by the Victoria’s Secret Angel likes of Behati Prinsloo, Adriana Lima, Karlie Kloss, Candice Swanepoel, Doutzen Kroes, Lindsay Ellngson and Allessandra Ambrosio. And what’s the gossip we’ve gleaned? This year the show sections will be split into three themes, ‘Snow Angels’, ‘British Invasion’ (hurrah!) and ‘Pink’. Enigmatic and entirely intriguing. Candice Swanepoel will be wearing the $10k Swarovski crystal Fantasy Bra and the two music acts confirmed thus far include Taylor Swift and Fallout Boy.
The show will take place on 13th November and air on CBS on 10th December.
