With the knowledge that this may well be the last we see of Ryan Gosling for some time, on the big screen at least, given his hiatus from acting, we’ve been (repeatedly) pouring over the first trailer for Only God Forgives the actors’ latest release in which he teams up, once again, with Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn.
The film, a crime drama set in Thailand, will be debuted mid-May during the 2013 Cannes film festival, however the first trailer has hit the web. . . watch it below.
Gosling plays an exiled American who runs a Bangkok boxing club as a front for a drug-business. Expect more of the stylised graphic violence that we saw in Drive. Oh and Kristin Scott Thomas – who plays Gosling’s mafia-mother.
