Cornwall offers endless holidaying opportunities. It is perhaps the sunniest part of Britain, the beaches are gorgeous, and most are rife with surf competitions, beach polo or festivals during the summer. But what about during winter? It just so happens that Watergate Bay has some gorgeous winter-friendly options available this season.
Beach Retreats’ The Village offer four bed properties to rent that merge hotel luxury with the privacy and freedom of self-catering facilities. Each one is designed by Household and include access to the Watergate Bay Hotel’s Swim Club with a specified rate for a week’s stay. The offer is available until the 21at December. Take a look at some of the newest properties available there by clicking here.
In addition a special stay package called Winter Taste of the Bay at Watergate Bay Hotel is a three night stay including a five course taster menu at Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall. This is available from both November to December, and January to February. The Watergate Bay Hotel is also offering a Christmas preparation Seafood Break from the 8th to 10th December. This is a three night stay at the hotel and includes a half day seafood cookery course at Padstow Seafood School, run by Rick Stein. So all in all Cornwall’s Watergate Bay seems to have it pretty sorted for the winter season, whether snuggling up in front of the fire is your idea of the perfect winter retreat, or you’d rather brave the chilly swell in a wetsuit and get surfing. Anyone else thinking the snuggling idea seems rather good?
