YORICA! FREE-FROM CAFE IN SOHO

May 16, 2016

By Hannah Powling

This could quite possibly be THE revelation of the summer for so many of you out there; guilt-free shakes, fro-yo and ice-creams. Yorica!

Fancy eating this...guilt free? YES PLEASE.
Fancy eating this…guilt free? Umm.. YES PLEASE.

In March, Krista and I went along to the grand opening of Yorica! the 100% vegan, gluten, dairy, nuts and egg free cafe. And I must point out that we were incredibly impressed with their offering. Located right in the heart of Soho, the Wardour Street space is serving up a huge range of decadent ice cream flavours, mountains of toppings, frozen yoghurt tubs and some of the most outrageous shakes around. The toppings include gummy bears, marshmallows, cookies and sprinkles… and yes, they are free-from.

Their selection of ice creams include No Nut Peanut Butter, Cookies & Cream, Pumpkin & Cinnamon, Beetroot and more.. And my cookie topped chocolate fro-yo.

Yorica! is the UK’s first ever totally free-from cafe – which is great news for vegans, anyone with dairy intolerance, allergies or health fanatics alike. Basically anyone who just wants to join in and enjoy the naughty things in life but without actually being naughty.

Every single thing served by Yorica! from the cones to the whipped cream and toppings, is vegan, as the company craft their creamy treats using rice or coconut milk. It’s almost hard to believe when you see what they have on offer.

We particularly loved the whipped cream made from coconut cream – it was so yummy, a perfect addition to our shakes. Also I will add that the no nut peanut butter ice cream is to DIE for. And I was in shock at how it tasted so much like peanut butter, which I was then informed it was made from toasted soy. Wow!

We couldn’t recommend more that you go and pay them a visit; Yorica is located at 130 Wardour Street, W1F 8ZN and is now open (till late too)!
