If, like us, you’re looking for something to do this, and each Friday evening throughout the summer, that does not involve a beer garden, why not turn your hand – and indeed body – to Yotopia’s Outdoor Rocket Yoga.
Direct from LA (where else!), Rocket Yoga is an energising, dynamic practice that flows in a similar way to traditional yoga but also breaks down some of the rules of Ashtanga. Set to a special DJ mix and practiced in the outdoor, sunny setting of Covent Garden’s safe haven – St Martin’s Courtyard, and you have a rather wholesome Friday night activity that will have you getting rid of any post-work stresses, whilst moving, stretching and sweating, to set you up and balance you for the weekend ahead.
The class will run through signature sun salutations before moving on to a fun-filled class of traditional asanas, vinyasas, arm-balances and a handful of things you probably thought you couldn’t do!
Yotopia’s Outdoor Rocket Yoga, every Friday from 12 July to 9 August at 5.15 – 6.30 pm in St Martin’s Courtyard, Covent Garden. Classes are by donation, so come along, join in, and pay what you can afford. Mats will be provided, but bring your own if you have one to avoid disappointment. No booking required. Yotopia.com
