The MTV European Music Awards took place last night, but with all the gorgeously clad celebs, it seemed almost a fashion show. Taylor Swift looked like anything but the girl-next-door, glowing in a 1920s style paneled J. Mendel gown that hung beautifully on her subtle curves. Taylor picked up three awards for Best Female, Best Live and Best Look.
Brit pop star Rita Ora stunned off and on the stage, wearing a dramatic red Marchesa gown paired with a perfectly matched red lips and romantic curls. Rita also opened the awards, performing her monster hit “R.I.P” wearing a sexy red lace catsuit and descending to the stage in a bird cage. Her backless lace outfit was transformed by a matching jacket she later donned to mingle with other stars, including Kim Kardashian, the sister of her rumoured current beau Rob.
Not to be outdone, Kim Kardashian donned a black frock, fresh from her Dorothy Perkins Kardashians Kollection launch in London. The monochrome dress featured a short front hemline and long train, both with a metallic sheen (pictured above).
Singer/songwriter Alicia Keys showed off her sleek new bob hairdo, wearing a sexy cut-out green Stella McCartney dress. She performed her newest song “Girl On Fire” during the awards.
However, the most impressive outfits have to be those of this year’s MTV EMAs hostess with the mostest, the iconic Heidi Klum. The famous supermodel wore a whopping eight Versace looks throughout the night, starting with the red carpet and finishing with the after party.
Heidi opened the show in a gorgeous cream coloured Autumn/ Winter 2012 Atelier Versace gown with a full chiffon skirt and a woven corset top with cut out and rose gold buckle details. She accessorised with black gloves and a black top hat, creating a circus-esque look that we’d love to have a go at.
Her envy worthy wardrobe from the Versace’s AW 2012 and SS 2013 collections included gladiator sandals, studded mini dresses, Swarovski crystals and thigh splitting frocks, all very sexy and leaving little to the imagination.
The 39-year-old model also showed off her humorous side, donning a powder blue suit and sunglasses and joined Korean pop star PSY for a hilarious re-enactment of his Gangnam Style music video. Heidi, who is well known for her love of going all out for Halloween, admitted to regularly performing the dance moves at home with her four children.
