I’m just going to have to accept that it’s winter. It gets dark at 4pm. The red cups are back in Starbucks. I bought a new coat. What’s more, as a long-haired girl I can no longer get away with the ‘I let it dry naturally’ look or method. I’d be stuck with a wet-to-damp hair look for at least half a day, and a risk of hypothermia. The first is worse, obviously. Add to that the sudden rush of social events, and heat hair styling is a must!
So here are our favourite heat stylers out there at the minute, tried, tested and oh so thoroughly approved.

My hair is long and there’s a lot of it, so the larger barrel and longer length mean it can accommodate it all, and make it look darned beautiful to boot. Curl large sections away from your face for a Victoria’s Secret-esque wave and volume.

For a quick blow-dry cheat, you really can’t beat a good set of heated rollers. If you’re partying away from home this season, pick up a set of Nicky Clarke Classic Compact Heated Hair Rollers (£19.99). They’ll take up minimal luggage space, and will give you enough volume and movement to make people think you’ve just skipped out of the salon.
Hot brushes really earning a name for themselves, whether it’s for creating your own blow-dry look at home, or maintaining the one you have. Our favourite is the John Frieda 2778U Volume Shine Air Styler (£39.99).
