Impressive range, good quality, fashionable – these are the things I look for when shopping for new glasses. I do want to follow trends but not make glasses the focal-point of my face – and it can be expensive to have pairs that will go with both my mood, my needs and my wardrobe. That’s why when I was asked to trial the Superdrug Online Opticians I was curious to find out if they would answer my need for fashionable, good quality and above all affordable frames.
The range is impressive – there are over 900 styles to choose from so I was spoilt for choice. They’ve set up an easy style search so if you want square glasses you can find them in just a few clicks. I was on the hunt for something a bit ‘geek chic’ for distance (so out on walks, cinema, TV, that sort of thing) but not too heavy as I didn’t want to swamp my face. These Immense prescription glasses fitted the bill perfectly – a flash of colour, a great shape which was not too severe and a good price at £45. This included postage and a single prescription lense and two cases – one soft and one solid. They arrived in a week of ordering and all I had to do was supply my prescription (which has to be less than 2 years old), glasses size and the chosen style. Impressive stuff.
Because prices start at just £9 you really can afford to grow your glasses collection – I certainly plan to. You can also pick up your glasses from over 800 Superdrug stores across the UK. All glasses are scratch resistant and if you spend over £25 you get free delivery. The range also includes varifocals, bifocals and tints.

Roll on next Summer – I will be ordering this pair of sunglasses next!
