We know you have been ferociously attending those spin classes in preparation for your best summer body ever. But where’s the summer? So far it has consisted of weather drab enough to ensure our pins remain under wraps. But rejoice, we are slaves to our skinny jeans no more as a new trend sweeps the red carpets. And we are loving it.
The sheer skirt (or leg veils as we have affectionately renamed them) is the perfect trans-seasonal purchase, utterly feminine thanks to a flash of skin and offering the (subtle) showcase of our newly toned legs.
Although we’d love to have a daily excuse to wear an embellished ball gown (I mean, Goulding’s Patricia Bonaldi- to die for!) most of us prefer something casual, chic and most importantly, comfortable. So instead, we’ll be taking our cue from the high street and opting for a semi-sheer maxi skirt.
For day, pair it with an oversized sweater (or shoulder-skimming tee if the weather warrants it), ankle boots and a chunky necklace. Or by night, tuck in a light, solid sweater, add some dainty jewellery and a pair of chunky pedi-flashing heels.
