Alexa Chung it seems has turned her attention to the beauty world this year. First we’ve had her collaborations with Eyeko, and then with Lisa Eldridge, modelling in the makeup artist’s tutorial video in which she teaches viewers how to get her iconic eye look with those same Eyeko products.
Now she’s set about enriching the nail world by joining forces with Nails Inc to produce the first ever nail care range formulated with kale.
Since Alexa has been dominating the fashion world for quite some time now, and kale has proved itself the supermodel of the foodie world this year, the pairing seems rather apt.
There are six nail polishes int he new collection. They include a superfood base coat, and illuminator and four coloured, all supercharged with kale extract.
You might be forgiven for suspecting that the range is simply hanging on the latest food trend for sales sake, but the greener than green vegetable is actually packed full with nail-benefitting components. Its high levels of vitamins A, C and K stimulate advanced keratin production, boosting nail growth and strength.
