Anne Hathaway debuted a dramatically cropped haircut this Sunday while stepping out of London nightclub, The Box.
The striking pixie cut is said to be in preparation for her role in the upcoming screen production of Les Miserables. In the film, Hathaway plays French factory worker turned prostitute Fantine, who famously cuts and sells her hair in order to afford clothing for her daughter. Apparently Hathaway’s new hairstyle is just the start of her transformation to fit the role. Rumour has it the Devil Wears Prada star is on a strict diet to achieve the withered and frail look of Fantine.
We’re rather ambiguous about the cut, though we wonder whether she’ll decide to keep the short ‘do or grow it back immediately like actresses past (Natalie Portman in V for Vendetta, anyone?). Thoughts, BATD readers?
