Based on the novel by Irvine Welsh – and released in UK cinemas on October 4th – James McAvoy, Jamie Bell, Jim Broadbent, Eddie Marsan and Imogen Poots star in the movie Filth. Rather a personality flaw than something that can physically be wiped away – the movie is based on a corrupt policeman who will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

Brilliantly played by James McAvoy, the bad cop exploits the power of his badge – and the likes of his colleagues – for a promotion. As he exposes their secrets and steals their wives Bruce begins to lose himself in this “brilliantly twisted” film.
As his past resurfaces, along with a missing wife, uncontrollable drug habit, and suspicious colleagues – Bruce begins to lose his sanity. The question is: can the bigoted policeman get clean enough to disentangle himself from the filth?
