If there’s one perfume we can all admit to being drawn to on the shelf, it is Daisy Marc Jacobs. It’s like that one Barbie in Toys R Us that entrances little girls as they stand before it. It’s so pretty, glistening in all its petalled glory. The mere sight of the bottle turns us all into magpies, whether we regularly sport the fragrance or not. It simply begs to be played with! Yet we’ve spent long enough in department stores and duty-free airport concessions to know that this little scent celebrity isn’t just a one trick pony. The scent is light and delicate, never overpowering, and sophisticated enough to be worn everyday, and not be sidelined as a sweet holiday indulgence.
The latest edition of Daisy is Daisy Marc Jacobs Delight (50ml EDT, £48.00)is the original, but brighter. And no, we’re not just talking about the bottle. Top notes quince flower and freesia are livened up with crisp apple, joined by the floral heart notes of Iris, gardenia and peony, base notes musks, cedarwood and sandalwood providing depth and intensity.
Alongside Daisy Marc Jacobs Delight arrives the Daisy Eau So Fresh Marc Jacobs Delight (75ml EDT, £52.00), a pretty spritz of a fragrance that brightens your scent with a subtle, girlish air. A rush of blood orange, combined with exotic tiare tahiti and mingled with the sweetness of raspberry makes up the new fragrance, as well as base notes of apricot skin, which is as soft and comforting as it sounds.
Daisy Marc Jacobs Delight and Daisy Eau So Fresh Marc Jacobs Delight will be available at Debenhams from 5th March 2014.
