I have always wanted to have long, thick hair. But into each life a little rain must fall. I battle with my hair, it is thin, lifeless; if I put on conditioner it is weighed down,
stuck to my head or sometimes it makes it so static it stands on end as if I was wired in to a socket. I love hairdressers and love hanging out with them because they have the voodoo that can turn my life around. I don’t have bad hair days; I have bad hair months.
I am very fond of several volumising shampoos, because they do what they say they will do. But the nature of the volumising shampoo is that they do dry your hair out. Then you need conditioner, which mine sucks up and clings to. Thus I am in a bad hair cycle.
I tried the Nanogen Thickening Treatment Shampoo fortified with growth factors. Its aim is not just to make your hair look thick but actually thicken. I am not sure how all this mad science works. Growth factors and re-densifying peptides, but they are really, really good. It is as if your hair has been given a work-out. Healthier, stronger, juicier.
The conditioner has growth factor and hyaluronic acid. I always use just a tiny bit and I have to say it seemed to condition, strand by strand, and rather than weighing it down, it poofed it up.
The Root Boost hair thickening spray also works on a strand to strand basis, and what I love about it is that it is not sticky. In fact it has a dry texture that works extremely well.
Next up I will try the Hair Growth Factor serum. As a little girl I always wanted to press a magic button and have long hair. I had a doll that did that and always wished that I were like that doll. I can`t wait to be Rapunzel.
