I am not usually a big lover of lip balms. I feel like I’m scared to become reliant on them – especially the petroleum jelly-based ones. If I am ever to buy a lip balm (which is rare) it is always petroleum-free. I certainly do get dry lips sometimes, and I like to wear matte lipsticks too – so I do on occasion really suffer and I hadn’t yet found a great lip balm I felt confident in using…or that I felt made much difference to be honest!
I actually heard about this Nuxe Rêve De Miel Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm when having this very discussion/frustration with a customer when I was at work one day for MAC Cosmetics, and it was recommended to me – so I looked it up. Gosh the reviews were amazing, so I was instantly intrigued by this particular product.
It’s characteristics seemed different from a ‘normal’ balm, firstly from its texture. It was called a ‘matte’ lip balm which I couldn’t get my head around. It seemed like the perfect under-the-lipstick lip balm as the matte lipstick lover that I am..so I had to try it out.
This lip balm is literally the best thing ever. It is thick, rich and creamy and it certainly is a little matte – but it feels so velvety soft, and a little really goes a long way.
Nuxe Rêve De Miel has a unique blend of nourishing plant extracts and oils to protect delicate lip skin against the environmental stresses we face, from extreme cold to humid conditions. Their winning-formula is made up of honey, plant oils, shea butter and grapefruit essence to instantly protect, repair and restore comfort to chapped lips.
It has a soft, orangey scent, and is such a delight to put on. It lasts, and my lips have never been softer!
Certainly very worth the price at £9.50 – as I know it’ll last ages and I am now defnintely a firm member of their cult following.
